ECE 幼教专业的ELT和Bridging Programs - Mothercraft （政府赞助的）
一个妈妈参加了Mothercraft的ELT和Bridging Program，和我分享说这个课程非常的好。希望对其他的同学有所帮助。
ELT是免费的 8周，Bridging Program是政府赞助的，14个月的课程，3000刀包含了2000刀的书费，拿一个Diploma的证书，还包含三次的placement，超级的合算。如果打算选择ECE幼教专业的同学强烈推荐。
Mothercraft是这里很有名的Daycare，总部在downtown，据说要上这个daycare要排队两年呢。这个机构最早是daycare出身的，后来还做成了自己的college，真厉害。这个妈妈告诉我说，ECE的证书这里最有名的就五所，其中四所是大学给的证书，另外的一家就是Mothercraft的了，看来含金量很高。最好的是几乎是免费的啊。缺点就是远了点在downtown.
她先参加的是去年年底的Mothercraft的ELT。报销来回路费呢。

The Mothercraft Enhanced Language Training (ELT): Early Development program is a program offered by Mothercraft. With funding from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC), this program is designed to help you improve your English skills if you want to work in the community with young children or if you want to further your studies about young children.
The Mothercraft ELT Program for Early Development has small classroom sizes and individualized support. When you complete the program, you will get a certificate of completion for Enhanced Language Training: Early Development and updated CLB scores (English scores). There is a 4 week placement to work with young children so you can get Canadian workplace experience. Free TTC tickets may also be available to you (if you qualify).
During the program, you will gain more Canadian practice interacting with young children and families in early learning settings. You will become more familiar with Canadian culture when working with young children and families. You will become more comfortable with Canadian based Early Development language. You will also improve your employment readiness skills.
The next program starts:
September 23, 2013 and continues until November 20, 2013
In class times: 9 – 4pm
Includes a 4 week work placement for participants to gain valuable Canadian experience
You are eligible for this program if:
you have international training related to work with young children
you are permanent resident, convention refugee
CLB 6 minimum (higher preferred)
This is a CERTIFICATE level program. Program participants will receive an Enhanced Language Training: Early Development certificate at the end of the program.
然后还参加了今年的Bridging program. 如果直接报名参加这个Bridge program, 是非常难的，录取的比例很低，但是如果先参加了ELT的话，就基本上没有啥问题了。因为老师已经很了解你了，也会推荐你。这个program一共就30个名额。因为是政府赞助的。

关于那五所学校，只是以前别人介绍时听到过，也没有细究。今天我查了一下，可以确定的是，将来如果以ECE的title找工作，需要先去一个叫做CECE的组织注册，所以他们承认哪些就只能读哪些学校了。我刚看了下，有program的清单，但是情况有点复杂，所以，我认为最好的办法是如果对哪个学校的项目有兴趣，先联系CECE看看是不是在他们认可的名单中。据说前些年有很多小的私立学校有ECE，后来好多都取消了，或者转做ECA的项目，就是因为不被认可资质不够。

当然还有几个大学比如多大，Ryerson的也有这个专业的。
具体哪个学校比较好我也不清楚，但是至少有一点是肯定的，Mothercraft这个是政府赞助的肯定是最便宜的，等于只要1000刀读14个月。
一般来说只有是在行业里的人都会知道同一个专业，哪些学校比较好，好在哪里等。
也希望大家在自己找专业读书的时候，有心得很大家分享一下。
