Responsibilities
Inputs benefit plan designs and census data into quoting system to prepare quotations accurately and quickly
Reviews new business applications in a timely manner; review and audit of final rates and documentation
Prepares and forwards completed applications to appropriate departments
Responds to inquires from Plan Advisors, Sales Representatives or other departments promptly and courteously through verbal and written communication
Ensures updated licensing and E&O insurance is in place for all active Plan Advisors
Ensures timely processing of compensation contracts
Assists Technical Underwriters on quotes for existing business
Processes plan amendments in a timely manner; includes working in conjunction with the Technical Underwriter to run rates and prepare and forward plan amendment documentation to appropriate departments
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Completion of secondary school with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a group insurance environment
Knowledge of group benefits is preferred
Excellent time management skills; ability to work with rigid deadlines and a high volume of work
Excellent keyboarding skills and highly proficient in Excel and Microsoft Outlook
Detail oriented
Strong organization skills and the ability to prioritize
Possesses a positive attitude while working in a fast paced work environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
